Fusel oil is a by-product of ethyl alcohol rectification and is a mixture of alcohols (amyl, isobutyl, n-propyl, isopropyl and ethyl), water and other organic compounds in small amounts. Fusel oil serves as a raw material for the production of industrial alcohols used in the food, perfumery, pharmaceutical, paint and varnish industries and other sectors of the national economy.
